The relief follows the real elevation profile of Everest — a long, uneven ascent rising toward the highest measurable point above sea level. The line builds gradually. It does not seek symmetry. It culminates.
Cast in solid concrete, the cylindrical body carries real weight. The surface is mineral and slightly textured, cool to the touch. Each piece shows subtle variations in tone — a natural result of the casting process.
The carved contour is cut directly into the mass. It is not printed or applied. The height is part of the structure itself.
Designed as a permanent vessel, the concrete body remains while the candle insert can be replaced when finished. The exterior does not change over time; only the interior renews.
Everest here is not decorative imagery. It is elevation translated into proportion and weight.
